Campaign Story

We have been married for about 2 1/2 years now and what a crazy couple years it has been!  For the first year and a half of our marriage, we lived it up as much as we could and enjoyed our newlywed life in the midst of the pandemic, grief, and the very difficult losses we experienced. We also recently moved to Atlanta, where we hope to start our family and eventually buy a home.

In spring of 2021, we decided we wanted to start trying for our first child.  Our plan has always been to have at least one biological child and then adopt through foster care. Around the time we started trying, Jonalisa decided to go to the gynecologist as a preliminary step. The doctor recommended some testing for both of us since Jona is 35 and we had already been married for over a year and half. Long story short, after all of the testing, we learned that we would likely need to have IVF to have a child. Since then, we have seen several doctors and both gone through countless tests & procedures which confirmed that we definitely need IVF due to a male factor fertility issue.  The constant waiting in between all of these tests was excruciating but we have grown in patience and learned to trust the process. We have consulted with multiple fertility clinics who have assured us that we have a very high chance of being successful through IVF.

We are going to be prayerful and strategic about when exactly we start the IVF process and where we do it. We feel confident that God will give us a biological child in perfect timing but we would love your prayers and any contribution you feel led to make.
