Campaign Story

My name is Casey. My husband Jon and I have been together for 13 years and married for 3. Jon was in the Army and with the deployments and training, we never found the perfect time to get married, let alone start trying for a family. We have been trying for a baby for 3 years now with no luck. We became patients at a UNC Fertility Clinic after a year of infertility. After ultrasounds, a HSG (hysterosalpingogram), blood work and semen analysis, we still have no answers because all of our tests came back “normal”. We were on cloud nine in May 2023 when I got my first positive pregnancy test, but quickly turned into heartbreak when my HCG levels weren’t doubling and with an ultrasound, found out I was experiencing an ectopic pregnancy. We have tried Clomid at 50 mg and 100 mg for a few cycles also with no luck. Turning 36 and 38 years old in June is a big scare for us, knowing that our time for having a family is starting to close in. We only hope to raise enough money to try IVF, since insurance will not cover infertility. Please help us make our family complete.
