Hi we’re the Noffsingers! Here’s a little bit about our journey…
I’m Victoria, after having three missed miscarriages I have finally been diagnosed with cutaneous mosaicism. Each of our babies was lost to chromosomal abnormalities which at the beginning was thought to be a fluke. You can imagine the excitement of our first pregnancy, buying outfits, telling family, and planning. An ultrasound that was supposed to be our Christmas card picture revealed news that hadn’t crossed our minds. This was the worst feeling we had experienced yet but we were hopeful. Second pregnancy was different, we saw a heartbeat and our hearts were filled with joy once again. It was too soon, our second appointment gave us devastating news again. Third pregnancy, was quiet and we knew what to expect. This time we just wanted answers. After months of testing and counseling, we finally know our next step. My chromosome abnormality makes it uncertain to know if the next pregnancy would be viable. Some of my eggs might be abnormal if not all. IVF is our hope for now- something we never thought we would face at our young age. Sadly the military does not cover the cost of infertility treatment so we’re looking for all the help we can find. We never thought infertility would be an issue because “we are young and healthy,” but I truly believe my husband and I can get through everything.
