Campaign Story

My name is Kaylee Griffith, and I am writing with hope in my heart. After years of loss, medical trauma, and infertility, IVF is my only path to becoming a biological mother. Sharing my story is not easy, but at the center of it is a dream that has never left me, becoming a mother.

In May 2025, what started as a normal period turned life threatening. I experienced severe, uncontrolled bleeding and passed large clots. After being dismissed at one ER, I tried to trust their explanation. But later that day, I woke from a nap covered in blood, weak and pale. My fiancé, Tyler, rushed me to another hospital, where doctors found my uterus was filled with fibroids causing severe hemorrhaging. My hemoglobin dropped dangerously low, and I needed multiple blood transfusions. There were concerns I would need an emergency hysterectomy. The thought of losing my ability to ever carry a child was devastating.

What followed were months of procedures and uncertainty. In July, I had a major surgery to remove more than 20 fibroids. I hoped it was over, but just eight weeks later, the bleeding returned. In January, I underwent a second, more extensive surgery that started as a laparoscopic procedure but had to be converted to open surgery due to the severity of my condition. More than 20 additional fibroids were removed, including one the size of a softball. During that surgery, doctors also discovered diffuse endometriosis affecting my fallopian tubes, ovaries, and uterus. Further testing confirmed both tubes are completely blocked. I was told natural conception is not possible for me. IVF is my only chance to have a biological child.

But the hardest part has been loss. In 2024, we lost our daughter, Maddy, at 14 weeks due to Turner syndrome. We had already begun dreaming of her and imagining our lives as parents. Losing her left a space in our hearts that will always belong to her.

Through everything, Tyler has been my constant. We have been together for 12 years, and he has been by my side through every hospital stay and moment of fear. We got engaged on December 31, 2024, and had planned to marry this year. But because of my health and the financial reality of IVF, we have had to postpone our wedding. It has reminded us what matters most, our commitment to one another and our shared dream of building a family.

Being an aunt to my nephews has given me a glimpse of the love I long to give as a mother. I dream of bedtime stories, family holidays, and the simple everyday moments that make parenthood so meaningful.

IVF represents hope after everything we have endured. It is our chance to turn years of pain, uncertainty, and grief into something beautiful. But the financial burden is overwhelming and beyond what we can manage alone but we are sure trying.

This is where I need your help. We are raising funds to cover the cost of IVF treatment, including medications, procedures, and lab fees. Every dollar brings us closer to holding our miracle in our arms. Your support, no matter the size, will help us move forward and finally build the family we have fought so hard for.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for giving families like mine hope. With your kindness, we can turn our dream into a reality.

With love,
Kaylee Griffith
