Campaign Story
Our names are Maggie and Nicki. We’ve been together since 2009, and married since 2014. Both of us are activists for 2SLGBTQIA+ and disability rights. Nicki is a library assistant at a university and Maggie is a policy researcher.
We’re fundraising because we’ve been dreaming of starting our family. Nicki is the one carrying, and has issues due to PCOS, due to which they lost an ovary and Fallopian tube during an emergency surgery.
Maggie can’t carry due to a double cervix and a personal, and family history, of cancer.
This dream has been challenged many times, most recently loosing our savings due a forced move in the middle of the pandemic when our rental home was sold out from under us.
We’re trying not to loose hope, and this fundraiser is our last shot.
