My name is Estrella and I have severe blocked tubes on both sides, known as tubal occlusion, is when an obstruction such as scarring and adhesion growing which prevents the egg from traveling down the tube. This can occur on one or both sides and is the cause of infertility in up to 30% of infertile woman with ovaries which can impact fallopian tube blockage. Taking the steps to see how bad it was, I was booked for a HSG test, which is called a hysterosalpingogram, which is an x-ray test that allows your provider to see your uterus and fallopian tubes. It can help your provider diagnose fertility problems arising from having blocked fallopian tubes. Immediately being scheduled for laparoscopic and hysteroscopy surgery to try to unblock my tubes, getting one unblocked and having a little spillage in the other tube made us excited to want to try again. So, we tried Iuis which were a little costly and hard to pay since I am disabled and unable to work. After 3 failing iuis we made another appointment, and we were informed that I need ivf to have a baby. Due to that information we kind of sad because we knew that procedure would cost way more than expected and our goal to have baby was getting pushed further away from us. As a woman I felt uneasy and depressed because my partners sperm count was great, and the mobility was great so knowing that it was me that couldn’t provide a child naturally I felt less of a woman but the love and support I receive from him makes the process easier but as woman we still have are ways of being stubborn LOL.
