Campaign Story

My name is Melissa and I was diagnosed with adenomyosis and had to have a hysterectomy. I was not able to get pregnant before the surgery because my case was so severe that implantation was impossible and I was having really heavy periods with excruciating pain every month. I have spent my life helping others as a respiratory therapist, often sacrificing sleep, vacations and sometimes social events with family and friends. I dedicated myself to this career because when my husband was brutally murdered the hospital staff were so kind and supportive and I wanted to give back.
Your gracious donations will help me become a mother through surrogacy. Because I had the hysterectomy I cannot carry my own baby and need the help of a surrogate to bring my dream to life. Your gift is also a gift for the world. Through our children we can make the world a better place and teach them to leave the earth better than they found it. I’m passionate about conservation of wildlife and their habitats, recycling and clean energy and I will pass this on to the child you help me bring into the world. My child could also help save someone’s life by storing their cord blood allowing for the stem cells to help someone with cancer or other serious illnesses.
