Crystal learned at a young age that she would never be able to carry a child, a reality few can imagine and one she has quietly grieved for years. In her early 20s, after enduring years of medical complications and unbearable pain, she underwent a hysterectomy that closed the door on pregnancy and the dream of motherhood she had always held close.

In August 2025, Crystal and her husband Robert took a leap of faith and met with a fertility specialist. To their surprise and overwhelming hope, they learned that having a biological child through surrogacy could be possible. That single appointment reopened a door they believed had been permanently closed.

The months that followed were filled with daily injections, countless medical appointments, emotional highs and lows, and the difficult decision to pour their savings into a chance at becoming parents. In December, Crystal underwent egg retrieval, and against the odds, three healthy embryos were created, three miracles they never imagined they would have.

Now, Crystal and Robert are preparing for the next step of transferring one of those embryos to a surrogate. While their hearts are full of hope, the financial reality is daunting. The costs of surrogacy is overwhelming and far beyond what they can manage alone.
