Campaign Story

Hiiiii My name is Rachel & and my husband is Jeramy McAbee. We are on another adventure  to having a baby! A little about our journey…

In 2007 I was diagnosed with severe PCOS and told I would never be able to have children on my own unless I had assistance.

I met my husband in 2010 and much to our surprise we conceived our first miracle boy without any fertility assistance and just the miraculous works of God in 2011.

In 2013 we decided to try again but I was unable to get pregnant on my own. So we sought the help of a doctor and we conceived our 2nd son after 3 rounds of clomid treatment.

We thought we were “finished” but neither one of our hearts were so we started trying again in 2020. It was a lot harder that round, due to my husbands job requiring him to travel outta town a lot.

We decided to try IUI and after 3 rounds…… we conceived a baby boy named Samuel Lane. We were so blessed and happy to have him growing in my belly for 9 wonderful weeks. I went into an ultrasound one day to find out his tiny heart had stopped beating after hearing it the week before. We also found out I had tested positive for lupus Anticoagulant so that was devastating news to hear.

We took some time to mourn the loss of our baby boy and when we were at peace we started trying again. It has been 11 rounds of multiple IUIs and fertility medication and nothing has been working. I’ve had tests done on my uterus and overies which everything came back clear… so do to the advice of our fertility specialist we are pursuing IVF.

My husbands job does not offer infertility insurance so everything will come out of pocket. He is also back on the road for work so we will have to store his samples for when it is needed.They are estimating about 30k here in California. Our goal is to reach the amount requested before my 36th birthday on May 18th and bring new life into our world.
