Campaign Story

My husband and I have been together since we were kids, married on September 12, 2009 and quickly wanted to begin our family. Neither of us being prepared for the journey ahead. We have suffered 3 miscarriages, each loss being harder than the one before. In 2010 we miscarried at 9 weeks. In 2011, we had an ectopic pregnancy that almost resulted in a ruptured fallopian tube. 2013 being our last unsuccessful pregnancy, we were so excited; only to be told the baby had no heartbeat. It was then that we decided to seek help. We’ve seen 3 different fertility specialist, each giving the diagnosis of unexplained infertility. We began treatment but the cost quickly put a financial strain on things. It was suggested that I have a laparoscopic surgical procedure to remove scar tissue in the tubes. It was successfully completed. I’ve been placed on many different fertility aids, clomid and serophene being the main medications accompanied by a ovidrel “trigger shot”. We were able to do a total of 12 iui’s yet none were successful. We were told that Invitro Fertilization may be our only option but had to stop treatment due to not being able to afford such an expensive procedure. We have relied on Dr Google for home remedy after home remedy with no luck. We’ve wanted this for so long and it becomes harder to remain hopeful as it begins to take an emotional toll on us. Constantly being asked when are you guys going to have children , as we smile and say in Gods timing. We are both employed full time yet our insurance doesn’t cover treatment at all. This is and has always been a dream of ours. It’s so hard to watch the excitement of all those around you as you patiently wait for your turn but we have faith. There is hope that I will one day surprise my husband with news of the greatest gift possible and we’ll get to finish our nursery. The stigma makes it hard for people to want to ask for help but this fundraiser was created to fund ivf for our miracle baby and with the help of those of you out there it’s possible. Anything received will be appreciated
