Campaign Story

Hello, My name is Dawn and I was diagnosed with a unicornuate uterus, I’m borderline PCOS and I have endometriosis in 2015. Due to my birth defect I only have one tube that’s connected properly but it is blocked. The other tube unfortunately never developed. The drs don’t want to risk damaging my other reproductive organs to try open the one tube Making Ivf, surrogacy and adoption our only options. We went month after month remaining hopeful because you hear all them stories of others saying the drs told them they’d never have kids and they got pregnant. Well sadly every test was a negative. I would Track ovulation day after day and on peak days we would try everything we could possibly try to get pregnant naturally. Unfortunately nothing was working. In 2020 I found a clinic that would take on my case. We had a consultation to discuss my next steps. Me knowing ivf was so expensive never thought it would be a possibility for us. Then the opportunity to adopt a little girl presented itself. Sadly she was born with pulmonary hypertension and passed away December of 2022. We were so excited and hopeful that our dreams were finally being answered and we would become parents. We put her a nursery together and had everything she could have Possibly needed. But sadly we never got to bring her home. She never got to use anything that we planned for her to use. One of the hardest things I’ve ever gone through was packing up that nursery. We slowly mended our hearts the best we could. My husband Keith found a company with decent benefits so we both applied and landed the job as direct support professionals assisting individuals with intellectual disabilities. We finally sat down and discussed Ivf and me carrying the baby to ensure a healthy pregnancy. We started our ivf treatments April 2023. We’ve done all the test and are up to our baseline appointment being 12/26/2023. It would be a Christmas miracle for us to raise enough money to cover this cycle and the medications. If you could find it in your hearts to donate to a wonderful couple who’s only dream for this
Life is to become parents we will be forever grateful and appreciative.
Thank you,
Dawn and Keith Bawel
