Campaign Story

My name is Amanda, and my fiance (will be my wife May 14th) is Kathy. Kathy has served in the Armed forces for 22 years and she has been a police officer for the past 7 years. We now want to start our family. We started in May last year and have gone through the fertility process once, we tried the effortless IVF through Care Fertility in Dallas, but the sperm that was sent to us was bad, and not only did we have to start over there with the donor, but we couldn’t continue with the effortless IVF and had to switch to the more expensive traditional IVF. We found some money from savings to make that work and started over. We had hope. So much hope. The egg thaw went well, the fertilization was going well, and then, nothing. 7 good eggs, gone. That’s when we found out that Kathy can’t have children biologically. Devestated is an understatement. And that’s after spending $20,000 on everything. We were so very close to getting a real shot at having a baby, and just like that, it was taken from us and we have to start over. It’s so expensive and so very stressful and not fair that it can’t happen naturally for us. I know so many people are in the same situation, and I wish I could make this process less expensive for everyone. Any donation will help and be so very much appreciated.
