Campaign Story

I’m Brittany, and my husband’s name is Baher (pronounced: bay-her).

I’m from Louisiana, US, and he is from Cairo, Egypt. We met online through a group that discussed traveling. He and I hit it off and had a long distance relationship for 5 years until I surprised him for his birthday and spent the summer in Egypt in his family’s home. Not only did I fall more in love with him, but also his family and his country. He purposed, and I came home and worked my butt off to sponsor him and file a K1 (Fiancé) Visa.

We finally made it in 2019, where he flew into the US for the first time, and we were married the very next day! ☺️

Being very naïve to infertility, we expected we’d have happy surprise soon after. … boy, were we wrong ?

It will be 4 years this April (2023) of a journey we never even imagined existed.

During the last 4 years we have found I have hyperprolactinemia, low Estradiol and Progesterone, extensive stage 3 Endometriosis, and 2 MTHFR genetic mutations. I have done hormone replacement therapy, and 18 medicated cycles, and a laparoscopic excision surgery. Post operation my surgeon told me she didn’t expect the surgery to do much for me in regards to fertility. She told us we needed to try to get pregnant as soon as my body healed enough. The 2nd month post operation, (1st month back TTC) we had our first positive pregnancy test December 2nd, 2021! Unfortunately, we wouldn’t have our little one long, and found out there was no heartbeat 4 days before Christmas, and we officially lost the pregnancy New Years Eve. We immediately started back with medicated cycles following our Angel Baby for the next 6 months. After this, we were told we needed IVF. Since we cannot afford IVF on our own, with trying to recover from the immigration process/fees, and my treatments/surgery, we decided to take a break and try to accept that we may not have a child together, and instead shift our focus to enjoy our time with each other the best we can while to coping with the grief. As of current, we have had no other pregnancies.
But we don’t want to give up hope yet.?

We are hoping to raise enough to have a final try at a family. If you donate, we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for giving us a chance, and potentially making a huge dream come true. To all that read our story, we wish you much love.

Thank you,

The Osmans ??
