Hi, my name is Julia. If anyone knows me, they know that I have had a rough journey to say the least. My husband and I have been together since 2013. I have not been on birth control our whole relationship, and got pregnant once In October 2020. Unfortunately just a few short weeks into it, my hcg levels were not going up like they were supposed to. I had to have surgery for an eptopic pregnancy; and to my surprise, they ended up taking my right Fallopian tube. While they were in there, they noticed a lot of scaring. I went for a hsg scan and determined my left tube was blocked. We went to a fertility specialist in april 2021 and decided to unblock my now only tube. It was $9,000, so it wasn’t an easy decision, but the chance of having a baby naturally was huge to us! The surgery was successful. We tried for 2.5 years and decided to try IUI. We did our first round in October 2023, unsuccessful. We did our second round in November 2023 and sadly that was unsuccessful as well. At this point I feel defeated and don’t want to spend more money on IUI when it could be going towards IVF which is more of a success rate. I want to be a mother more than anything in this world. IVF cost about $18,000-$25,000 in my state. We have some money put away, but we just want to make sure we can pay our bills on top of treatment. We are so appreciative to everyone who has been by our side and loved and supported us!
