Campaign Story

In November 2021, my husband John and I decided it was time to start medicated cycles through our doctor and prayed every night for a baby. Nearly a year and 11 failed cycles later, as we left the fertility clinic, we let go of our vision of what our path to parenthood should be and accepted our new one.

We are so grateful to be able to start our IVF journey in just three months, but with that comes a pretty big price tag, just shy of $30,000. Unfortunately, IVF is not covered by insurance, as they view infertility as optional, when in reality, medically, my body is not capable of pregnancy on its own and by no means is that optional.

Trying to become a mom has been so hard for me. No one warned me of infertility. No one explained that sometimes our bodies just don’t do what they’re meant to. And no one taught me how to deal with all of the emotions and heartache that comes with it. However, I still believe in my body and I believe that one day our baby will be old enough to hear their story, to hear that they were so wished for and wanted.
