Campaign Story

My name is Brittany and I was diagnosed with infertility the morning of my wedding day. A year passed with no success, Two medicated cycles failed and we were referred to a fertility specialist. While there we tried an aggressive medicated cycle which again failed. IVF was our last option as we are not male factor. Our first transfer was successful, but at 8wks and 5days our little olive no longer had a heart beat. A D&C was performed the next day. It was two weeks after, and not getting any better that a hysteroscopy with scraping was performed to remove what was left. I was diagnosed with endometritis and put on antibiotics for three weeks. Once finishing the antibiotics I did a re occurring pregnancy loss panel as we’d had more than one loss since trying. After all results were back I was diagnosed with the PAI gene polymorphism. Devastated finding out I have a blood disorder, we decided to move forward with an FET next month. I was given another protocol with heparin and baby aspririn included after having the transfer.

We are fundraising because our insurance does not cover infertility, so once again we are out of pocket.
