Campaign Story

“I’m taking a leap of faith here because I believe that there are people out there who have gone through the exact same things that Jesse and Brittany are going through. Perhaps IVF was very successful for them or perhaps it never was and they tried everything they could and it just didn’t work. It’s a heartbreaking process. It begins with all kinds of excitement and happiness for the future of being a parent. Raising a child or if lucky enough, children. I know I raised three and it was the most wonderful experience I could ask for. But then you get the heartbreak of a miscarriage. And then you try and try again and each pregnancy raises your hopes and each miscarriage becomes even more heartbreaking. Your family, your friends, seems as if everyone around you is having children. You make the rounds of the doctors and the clinics and are told so many different things, raising and dashing your hopes along the way. And then finally you’re told, I think we have a plan for you but it has to involve an egg donor.
On top of everything else You live in a state where your health insurance doesn’t cover in vitro fertilization and you’re told that the cost of this could be well over $20,000.
So I’m starting this fundraiser for Jesse and Brittany so they can go ahead with their plans of IVF with an egg donor and fulfill their dream of having a family.
They’ve been going through this process for years and they’re now at an age that they really can’t delay this any longer.
Jesse and Brittany are two hard-working adults. They’ve been married five years. They truly love each other, have a great relationship and are each other’s best friend!  They both have stable careers. They have their own home. What they don’t have is health insurance coverage for the IVF process and $20,000 to begin their IVF process.
Can anyone out there help them toward the goal? Any small donation would help and be so very much appreciated.  I know this because I have known Jesse all his life…. I am his mother. And I have had the pleasure of knowing Brittany for eight years. They are both wonderful people and I know that they’ll make wonderful parents.”

Hi, we are Brittany and Jesse Small. Since we got married in November of 2017, we have been trying to get pregnant. Most people who know us, don’t know much if anything about what we have been dealing with. We actually have gotten pregnant a few times, but, due to a very rare gene mutation, each pregnancy resulted in a miscarriage/molar pregnancy. There has been a lot of testing, waiting and heartbreak along the way and even 6 months of chemotherapy for Brittany at one point. Obviously, it’s a long and expensive process, and after meeting with our now team of doctors, we feel somewhat confident about our IVF future. Any amount you feel comfortable donating will be more appreciated than we could ever express. This is just another step in our journey, but we think we are closer than ever. Thank you.
