Campaign Story

My name is Kathy Smith. I married the Love of my life 8 years ago. I had given up on having babies until I met him. Having had 2 miscarriages before Jeff, I had really never given much thought to it again until I met him and fell head over hills in love! Always wanting to be a mom, now seemed more pressing. I want to share EVERYTHING with this man! A baby would make us complete.
We started our journey soon after we were married, but had my 3rd miscarriage at this time. It was time to consult a specialist. Needless to say, we had no idea that I was going to be diagnosed with unexplained infertility. There is literally nothing showing up in my tests, NOTHING!
I was referred to a fertility specialist to possibly give IVF a try. We soon realized how expensive this was and that our insurance would cover none of it. We knew we had to do this on our own, so we started fundraising, selling anything we could to get this money. It took us about 2 years to get started. We did 3 egg retrievals with no luck! Every embryo we transferred, I lost not long after. I am now at 9 miscarriages.
Moving forward, we are looking at doing a donor cycle. I will be treated for Natural Killer Cells, since there is absolutely no reason I should be losing babies even after transferring perfect embryos. Only problem is we have spent all of our money that we have worked so hard for, plus most all of our savings. This is my last hope of being a mother.
Over the years, we have had so many wonderful people reach out to us and support us on our journey. We are asking one last time to help us reach or goal for the donor cycle.
