Campaign Story

Hello!
My name is Brenda and my Husband’s name is Abe. We got married in March of 2024. (Our 1 year is coming up, yay!) We started our journey to becoming a family right away.

After not having success, (thought it would just happen easily :/ haha) we started tracking ovulation days. We became pregnant twice after tracking but neither pregnancy made it to two months. In the meantime, we started our journey with a fertility doctor and a holistic doctor. Once completing all the test, our fertility doctor noticed something in an ultrasound and wanted an MRI. So I did that test as well, then finally we made it to our appointment with her to go over results!

I found out that for my age (39) my egg count was below the low marker. Her concern that out of what eggs I do have left, the quality for most of them might not be great. This is why my body is naturally getting rid of the embryo before it gets too far along (my two chemical pregnancies).

Also, the MRI found a Teratoma [ germ cell tumors that can develop from any of the three embryonic germ layers (ectoderm, mesoderm, and endoderm). They can contain a variety of tissues, including hair, teeth, bone, muscle, and even organs. ].
Sometimes this isn’t an issue and everything can go smoothly with pregnancy, but because of the location/size, she is worried about contortion happening doing a pregnancy.

Her recommendation for treatment was to go straight to IVF. Get out as many good as we can. (Shooting for 6) out of the ones we get she’s hoping for at least 2-3 that we can use. If the quality isn’t there then I’m not sure how many rounds I will need in attempt to retrieve good eggs.
After we do the egg retrieval, she then recommends surgery to remove the teratoma.
After recovering from the surgery, she then wants me to do the implantation surgery.

I was hoping I would not need IVF and that I could just get a little assistance in getting pregnant on our own. Unfortunately, that is not the case, and my fears of IVF are now my reality. Not only do I have to do IVF but I also need a surgery to remove a tumor.

She gave us a rough estimate today of needing $20,000-$30,000 to get pregnant.
We are also in the process of trying to buy a house and was not expecting the added $20,000 and expenses. Plus all the missed work days in order to make all the appointments and surgeries. Any donations are appreciated and reciprocated with many prayers of thanks.
