Campaign Story

My name is Rachel and my 3 year old son is Liam. It’s just the two of us, and or family is not complete. It eats away at me every day. I have a spine injury due to a car accident while in the Air Force, and it caused a lot of issues when I was pregnant with Liam. I had to undergo fertility treatment, surgery to put stints in my Fallopian tubes and remove numerous large cysts on and around my ovaries. It took years to even get an egg. Liam is my miracle. While pregnant I was diagnosed with a condition called choleostaesis of pregnancy. This is when the liver cannot process the bile and it goes into the blood stream. It caused severe pins and needles painful “itching” and hospital trips 3-4x a week in the er, and 3x a week to monitor the baby as it causes still birth. The chances of it coming back is 99%. Due to this I need to be able to use a surrogate. As a single mommy with no partner, only one income, surrogacy is too expensive. I am hoping that God helps bless us with this fundraiser to help complete our family. If you ever felt empty, like something is missing, I ask you please think of us and help.
