Campaign Story

Our names are Kris and Courtney. We have been together since 2010 and married since 2018. Our family right now consist of two dogs that are our babies and two birds. We started trying to start a family shortly after we got married. I had gotten checked out by my gynecologists and he gave me the all clear and said I shouldn’t have any issues with getting pregnant. After a couple months and nothing happening we decided that Kris would get checked and it turns out his morphology was low, so we got told that we should go see a Fertility specialist.
When we went to the Fertility specialist they did testing again for both of us, and they said pretty much the same things. So they put my husband on clomid to help all his numbers and we did a couple timed intercourse. Those did not work so we then tried IUI two times both times did not work. We then moved to IVF, and we had many eggs retrieved. I have polycystic ovaries so I have plenty of follicles. We ended up going through two IVF egg retrievals at one clinic and none of them resulted in blastocyst and only one cycle had 4 mature eggs.

We went to a new clinic as we felt like the clinic we were at was just not a good fit for us anymore. I was diagnosed with PCOS at the new clinic and we tried a different protocol hoping for mature eggs. Again we tried two cycles and only one cycle had 4 mature eggs but none made it past day 3. The Doctors and the head embryologist are at a loss at why my eggs are coming out immature or if they are mature stop after the third day. The only reason they can think of is that there is a skeletal problem with the eggs. Our Doctor has told us that our best option at a pregnancy would be to get an egg donor. So we are wanting to raise funds to be able to get donor eggs.

We have so much love to give and have always wanted to be parents that we are doing everything possible to make that come true. We have a lot of family and friends supporting us, but this fundraiser will help with the closing the gap on the funds we are needing. Thank you so much for taking the time to read about our journey!
