Campaign Story

My name is Amber and I am a brain cancer survivor. My partner is Ian. I was told when I was 17 I would never be able to have children due to the radiation that chemotherapy that I was given when I was 13. However, upon my 25th birthday they said that my endometriotic stripe had grown and that it may be possible for me to have children. The only downside is that my hormones are off and I need to go through IVF treatment. I’ve been on disability for 13 years and I’m now back to working again as a Reverend, a tutor, and a part-time night manager at a hotel in sharonville. My fiancee and I have been together almost 7 years and we are eagerly waiting to get married. However, having a baby has been put on the forefront due to my limited egg reserve. In the past due to health problems that I’ve dealt with It took a while for me to get divorced from my ex-husband. However, we are now divorced and now my fiance and I can look forward to being married and having children of our own. It is devastating to have been told so many times that it could happen but it has not happened and it’s not happening naturally. I’ve tried clomid before twice and it has not done the job. So now this is my last opportunity to try and have a child for myself and my fiancee. Please help in any way you can. I am 22 years in remission from cancer and I want to have this gift, the birth to our child. If it is in you at all, no matter how big or how small, please help us complete our dream of being parents together.
