Campaign Story

My Daughter Cheyenne has always wanted to be a Wife and Mother. When she and Jonathon met, she knew she had found her Person! Both Cheyenne and Jonathon LOVE and ADORE all the many Neices and Nephews that are forever piled up in their home. But, eventually the kids do have to go home (if it was up to Chey Chey and Uncle Roonie as the children fondly call them, the kids could stay as long as they wanted) My wonderful daughter and son-in-law, then feel the emptiness in their arms and hearts that a child of thier own would fulfill.
Cheyenne has always had a big fear of Doctors and such. It runs in the family (on her Daddy’s Side 🙄🤣), but after 5+ years of trying on thier own, Cheyenne wanted to be a Mama so much, that my courageous, soft-hearted daughter overcame her fears and started her journey to motherhood. It started with a visit to her Primary Doctor, then within a few whirlwind months the doctors visits had progressed, to an OB/GYN whom did some tests. The testing discovered an issue with her fallopian tubes. So she was referred to a fertility specialist. Whom immediately scheduled surgery based on the tests. Cheyenne bravely underwent her first ever surgery, with Jonathon by her side, not knowing but hoping and praying that surgery would help and they would soon be able to have a baby. They were devastated to learn after the surgery, that One tube was beyond saving and had to be removed, the other was reconstructed with the hope of maybe healing enough to be able to carry that most precious thing thier hearts desired, a tenny tiny egg! But the doctor said he was not very optimistic at all. He went on to say he hated to even give a percentage, but if He did, it would be less than one percent that they would be able to conceive on their own without IVF. 🥺🥺
My amazing daughter still tried to keep her optimism! She did get pregnant almost a year later. But, Heartbreakingly, Within days it was discovered the worst case scenario had occurred. The pregnancy was in her tube up near the ovary.
Yet despite all the obstacles that have been put in their path. Each month, they start with a new hope that maybe this will be the month. Even though the doctor said if she got pregnant again and it was again in her tube, they would have to remove it as well.
The doctor did tell her that her uterus was beautiful and perfect and he could just about guarantee her that she would only need one IVF cycle to have a baby. She says she’s not greedy, One baby is more than enough and would be a blessing. It was also determined that Jonathon’s swimmers are Healthy as well.
Jonathon works hard as a Scaffolder in the union to make a living. My tough as nails, Daughter, also works as a Scaffolder when work is available. The Union has awesome insurance, but, there’s only one catch! Their insurance covers the doctor’s visits… But sadly, it does not cover IVF treatments and meds!
They keep trying to save for IVF, but the Big C hit in 2020 and they were barely able to make through and depleted all thier savings. They have been trying to catch up ever since.
If you can please Help make Their Dream come True it would be Amazing! They have done so much for me and I just want to try to return the favor.
Cheyenne lost her biological father at six years old. Then in May of 2022, she sadly lost her 2nd Dad! Mike, my Husband of 25 years, who had been with her since she was 3 and raised her as his own. Even while dealing with the pain of fertility issues, anytime I have asked for Jonathon or Cheyenne’s help, they have not hesitated to come to my aid!
Any help would be much appreciated! Cheyenne and Jonathon would also love your prayers as they continue their journey!
