Campaign Story

Hi, my name is Brittany and I have been struggling with unexplained infertility. Our journey started in 2015 when I had my first pregnancy that ended in a miscarriage. I went on to have 3 more miscarriages early on. We sought out a fertility doctor and started all the necessary testing. Everything this far had came back normal. Fast forward to 2021 I again got pregnant, and had high hopes because my HCG levels kept increasing!! Well I was having problems and had an ultrasound done and turns out it was an ectopic pregnancy. 2 shots and many blood tests later we were past it. (Mind you during this time my husband found out he had a brain tumor and we were in the hospital for 2 weeks for his surgery). After a few months I was informed to go get an X-ray done and see if my tubes are open. Turns out my right one was semi blocked (where my ectopic was) so they scheduled me for a surgery to unblock and potentially remove that tube. Well they successfully got it unblocked and I kept my tube!! Hooray! Turns out they found endometriosis in that time as well. After a month we tried to conceive naturally with clomid for 3 months with no success. I go in to my fertility doctor to get a baseline ultrasound done for IUI, and he found a polyp (benign) directly in the middle of my uterus, got that removed. I thought this has got to be it. We did our first round of IUI and it was a textbook procedure. Here I am 2 weeks later and a negative test. I’m emotionally, physically, and financially drained. We would still like to continue treatment but the cost is way over our budget. We just want to start a family and we can’t understand why it’s so hard for us. We are asking for any little bit to help us in our journey. Thank you for reading this long history, but it is very appreciated.
