Campaign Story

My name is Erica and I am thr oldest of 5 children. Met my new husband when I was 16. Went to college but unfortunately my parents both became disabled, about to loose our home and I had no choice but to quit school. My baby sister 3/4 at that time because seriously ill with abdominal issues. I myself had to care for all my siblings took over the mortgage and did not marry until age 27. I moved back to my parents house since my siblings were still in school and my dad had very low SSI income. My husband and I decided not to have children until we moved to our very own place, but I made the promise to my parents that I would pay the mortgage and stay home until most of my siblings were out of college. There was a point in our lives where our friends were having their babies. We tried for 3 years without success until we were referred to a infertility specialist. After a few months of treatment, I got pregnant via IUI. We waited 2 years, and realized we needed help again. After a few unsuccessful pregnancies, we had our 2nd child. Last year we finally moved out. My siblings have successful careers and I finally have my dream house! Only thing missing is a complete family. I am now 40 and have been informed IVF is the only way to go. Our Mortgage payment is through the roof and we cannot afford IVF treatment. My clock is ticking and I am scared to have more miscarriages (less of a chance with IVF). I missed my time while trying to help my parents and siblings but I was fortunate to help my siblings succeed.

We are not the type to ask for donations but at this point in our lives, we’ve reached the conclusion that it will be our only way to fulfill our dream family. Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Any amount is deeply appreciated, no amount is too little.
