Campaign Story

 Our story began 14 years ago when we met through a mutual friend. Instantly, we clicked and became fast friends. While many of our friends believed we were secretly dating, it wasn’t until three years later that  we started dating. Then in 2021 we were married. We have faced some challenges over the years.  Courtney was diagnosed very early on in life with a metabolic disease that affects only 2,000 people worldwide. A disease that led to a lot of unknowns, a lifetime of medication, countless doctor appointments, and two kidney transplants. We even had to spend 6 months a part and postpone our wedding twice during COVID.  Together, and with the support of family and friends, we made it through. Now we are facing another great challenge. We have always envisioned becoming parents. After consulting many doctors and specialists, because of Courtney’s disease and medical past, she cannot carry a child without endangering her and the baby’s life. We still have hope that we can still be Mom and Dad through surrogacy or adoption. Both are an expensive and stressful processes. We humbly ask for your support.
