Campaign Story

In short, (very, very short. As our life together has been crazy exciting).

David and I found eachother later in life (I was 37, he was 36). We fell in love the moment we met, and even discussed children on the very first date. Everything I never knew that I needed, was found in this man.
We were married on a helicopter over the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, just 8 months after meeting. We celebrated our marriage at the Indy 500!

Four months later, we found out that we were expecting. The utter happiness we felt in that moment will forever run through my mind.

Unfortunately, our dreams were shattered when I was rushed to the hospital in extreme pain. We lost our baby, and I nearly lost my life.
Five months after that tragic event, we found out that our only chances of being parents, is through IVF due to only having one tube. (IVF bypasses your tubes).

We took a chance on an IUI, which failed. We knew that our chances were slim, but he had faith.

David and I want nothing more than to be parents. The love that we share is beyond this world. We currently share our love with rescue animals, but would love to have kids of the human kind running around our home.

Our Doctor says we have a good chance of concieving via IVF, but our time is running out. I am now 39. The longer we wait, the more the procedure will cost and our chances of success decline.

We were getting ready to start IVF in July, but we just couldn’t financially do it, so we canceled at the last minute and switched to an IUI.
We have some of our funds, but not all. We did spend part of those funds on the IUI. As first responders, Our insurance doesn’t cover any part of fertility treatments. We have already spent thousands on medical bills from our loss, as well as fertility tests and treatments leading up to IVF.

Resorting to asking for help is not something I’m comfortable with, but I have to try. I cannot live without knowing I tried.
We are grateful for anything.
