Hi, my name is Emily. My husband and I have been struggling with infertility for going on 4 years now. Our case is not like many others. I am 26 years old and have endometriosis, ovarian cysts, and uterine polyps. I have undergone 2 surgeries in the last year, my first surgery was in November 2022 to remove polyps from my uterus that caused me severe bleeding for over a year straight that caused me to become severely anemic and my second surgery was in August 2023 to remove a baseball sized cyst on my right ovary and to remove the endometrial lining around my pelvic area and from my bladder. I was then diagnosed with stage 2 endometriosis with the worst form of endometriosis. Since surgery my polyps and cyst have returned but we are currently discussing the removal process for them and as soon as we heal we have to start the IVF process. We have also been told in May of 2023 I am going into beginning stages of menopause at the age of 25, which is very rare. We were told we only have a 3 year window before my egg reserve is empty. We have been trying to do IUI treatments but due to the cyst, polyps, endometriosis, and low egg count, my body is not responding to the medications used for IUI. Our Fertility specialist is recommending we start IVF treatments as soon as possible as we don’t have much time left or much of an egg reserve. With all that being said due to the unexpected news of low egg reserve, we have not had the time to save up the money needed to start IVF as we thought we had plenty of time to try IUI first. Time is crucial with our situation and we would love nothing more to become parents. I have dreamed of one day becoming a parent and being able to give unconditional love to a child. I believe our day is coming to be able to be parents!
