Campaign Story

Hi! Our names are Caroline and William and we have been struggling for years to conceive. I (Caroline) am a NICU nurse and my husband (William) is a K9 police officer. We never thought fertility would affect us because it is so underrepresented and just not something people openly talk about. My husband has had surgery to fix varicoceles and months of medication trials and adjustments for male factor infertility. There is nothing else in the world we want more than the chance to have one of our own. We have completed two medicated IUIs, done two egg retrievals and had two transfers with no success. We have exhausted our funds and still don’t have what we set out to have, a baby. The last year has been filled with disappointment and an extreme lack of awareness surrounding failed IVF cycles is shocking. Going into this we naively thought IVF would be the answer to all our prayers, because it wasn’t female factor infertility. Unfortunately it hasn’t worked out that way and we are realizing how IVF guarantees you nothing. None the less we haven’t given up and we would really appreciate any help to fund another retrieval.
