Campaign Story

My name is Patricia Barry, and I am 38 years old, living in beautiful Saint Petersburg, FL, with my partner, Jason Witherow. For the past year, we have been on a challenging journey, trying to conceive and start our family. After countless doctor appointments and tests, we have learned that our struggles with conception stem from low sperm count, alongside my own challenges with PCOS.

The journey has been filled with hope and disappointment, and navigating this path has not been easy. Financial concerns are always looming, adding an extra layer of stress to an already emotional process. But the most significant obstacle we face is the combination of Jason’s low sperm count and my PCOS. It sometimes feels overwhelming, and there are days when the weight of it all feels heavy on my heart.

This fundraiser represents a glimmer of hope and a chance for us to receive the medical intervention we need to aid our conception efforts. More than anything, this would bring us closer to fulfilling our dream of becoming parents—a dream that both Jason and I hold dear.

I long to experience every moment of pregnancy, from the morning sickness to the aches and pains that come with carrying a child. I envision myself radiating that pregnancy glow, even as I grapple with the challenges of finding clothes that fit. I can already picture myself preparing for the birthing process, embracing every moment, and knowing that these Irish hips of mine were made for this beautiful journey.

The thought of holding a precious human being that represents the love Jason and I share fills me with indescribable joy. I can’t wait to be a mother, and I know Jason is equally excited to become a father. We dream of the laughter and love that will fill our home, the memories we will create as a family, and the legacy we will build together.

These funds would not only provide us with the means for much-needed medical support but also the opportunity to transform our dreams into reality. It would mean the world to us, opening doors we thought might remain closed. With this support, we believe we can finally embark on the path toward parenthood, and we are ready to embrace every step of the journey.
