Campaign Story

My name is Katie, and my husband Rick and I have held onto a sweet dream of growing our family together. We got married in 2020, and from the start, Rick embraced my 16-year-old son with open arms and big heart. But we’ve always hoped and prayed for another child, a little one we could raise side by side.

In 2022, we started trying, only to be met with heartbreaking news: I was diagnosed with ovarian failure. The doctor told us our chances were nearly nonexistent, but we couldn’t let go of hope. Month after month, year after year, we kept trying, praying for a miracle that never came. It’s been a journey filled with grief, but also with unwavering love for each other and for the family we still believe is possible.

Now, we’re turning to IVF with an egg donor, our last real chance at bringing a baby into our lives. But the costs are overwhelming, insurance doesn’t cover IVF, and the expenses for an egg donor add up quickly. We’ve saved what we can, but we need help to make this dream a reality.
