Campaign Story

My name is Taye, and I am a former surrogate mom and since my surrogacy, I am no longer able to have babies for my family. After I completed my surrogacy in 2013, I was unable to conceive until 2019, where I had an ectopic pregnancy that resulted in the removal of my left Fallopian tube. An ectopic pregnancy commonly known as a “tubal pregnancy” is a rare condition where the egg implants outside of the uterus normally in the Fallopian tube. The egg is unable to survive and this condition can cause life-threatening bleeding for the mother, if left untreated. In October 2021, I discovered I was pregnant and miscarried only 1 week later. In December 2021, I discovered I was pregnant again and just one day before my first prenatal appointment, I was rushed to the hospital to later discover I had life threatening bleeding from another ectopic pregnancy. My right Fallopian tube had already ruptured and had to be removed, leaving me with no remaining Fallopian tubes. I am deeply saddened that I’m unable to carry my children, but I am hoping that someone can bless our family the same way I blessed someone with the gift of gestational surrogacy. Gestational surrogacy is a very expensive dream, but with your financial help, even $1 brings us one step closer to making that dream come true. Thank you for reading!
