Hello and thank you for taking the time to read my story!

As long as I can remember, I have always wanted to be a mom. My love for children led me to a Master’s degree centering on child development, and I spent years as an early childhood educator. A couple of years ago, I was ready to start my motherhood journey. I had my top sperm donor chosen and had just left teaching to start a new career that would allow me to provide the best life for my children that I could. Then I found out I had breast cancer.

I carry a genetic mutation that significantly increases my chances of getting breast cancer. This combined with having gone through cancer treatment, IVF if the best option to ensure that I am able to have a healthy baby and that I do not pass on this dreadful mutation to my children. The family curse of breast cancer can end with me. IVF, however, is expensive and not covered by insurance making this next step in my motherhood journey financially difficult.

I want nothing in this world more than to be a mom. To support, love, and encourage my children as they grow into independent people themselves. I appreciate you taking the time to read my story and consider donating whatever you can on my path to motherhood.
