Campaign Story

Hello,

Our names are Keerry and Carlos. We have been together for 10 years and married for the past 5. Throughout our relationship, we have built a loving and supportive partnership, and our greatest dream has always been to grow our family and become parents.

Our path to parenthood has been much more difficult than we ever imagined. I have been diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) and have been told that our chances of conceiving naturally are very low. In addition, my husband has been diagnosed with low sperm count and is currently undergoing treatment and medication to improve our chances of success.

Despite these challenges, we have remained committed to our dream. We have attempted the IVF process three separate times. Each time, we have invested our hearts, time, and finances into treatment, only to encounter a devastating obstacle just before egg retrieval. We were informed that anesthesia costs would not be covered and would require an additional $10,000–$15,000 out-of-pocket payment, a financial burden we simply could not overcome. As a result, our treatments were halted before we could complete the retrieval process.

Now, time has become another factor in our journey. I am currently 30 years old and will turn 31 in August. We are deeply aware that fertility rates decline with age, and we hope to pursue treatment before I reach 35, when pregnancy risks and fertility challenges can increase significantly. We feel a growing urgency to continue treatment while we still have the best possible chance of success.

An IVF grant would provide more than financial assistance—it would give us hope and the opportunity to continue fighting for the family we have dreamed of for so many years. We have faced disappointment and setbacks, but we have never lost our desire to become parents. We are ready to continue this journey and would be incredibly grateful for the chance to move forward.
