Campaign Story

Our journey began when my husband and I married on June 15, 2020. That same year, we experienced the joy of pregnancy, only for it to end in miscarriage. After countless doctor visits and being told over and over that nothing was wrong, I was finally diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis. I underwent laparoscopic surgery to exercise it, during which they discovered it was covered in endometriosis and had eaten holes throughout my bowels. That day my surgeon removed a foot of my bowels as well as my appendix and had it sent off to be biopsied.
Only to discover that I had slow growing cancer on my appendix.

After healing from surgery and believing we were finally ready to try again, we experienced yet another miscarriage. It was heartbreak after heartbreak. Through endless prayers, doctor appointments, and difficult conversations, we were told IVF was our only chance of having a child of our own.

We took on the emotional and financial burden of IVF and were overjoyed to become pregnant with our baby boy, Hunner Ace Washington. But our joy quickly turned to fear when I was diagnosed with a high-risk pregnancy due to having complete placenta previa. On November 3, 2022, Hunner was born at just 24 weeks and 5 days after an emergency c-section. He fought bravely in the NICU, but on November 29, 2022, our beautiful boy passed away following an emergency hernia surgery.

Even through this unimaginable pain, we refused to let go of our dream. We decided to try IVF once more. I became pregnant once again but we knew the real trail was staying pregnant. That cycle ended in another miscarriage as well. After another miscarriage, our hearts were guarded — we did not expect much from all of the pain and loss but on April 3, 2024, we welcomed our miracle baby girl, Krimsyn Rose Washington. She is the blessing we never thought we’d get to hold.

But the financial strain of multiple IVF treatments, surgeries, and the grief of loss took a heavy toll. We’re now working through a bankruptcy to recover, while holding onto hope for our future. Though Hunner can never be replaced in our hearts, we long to give Krimsyn the little brother we dreamed of — to fill our home with more love, laughter, and healing.

This is why we’re reaching out. We humbly ask for your help to make this final chapter of our family story possible. Every donation, prayer, and share means the world to us and brings us one step closer to turning our tears into hope.

Thank you for reading our story, for believing in our miracle, and for walking this road with us.
