Campaign Story

After years of infertility, heartbreaking loss, and medical challenges, we are ready to grow our family and give our daughter a sibling through IVF.

My husband and I were married on June 15, 2020, and began our journey to parenthood shortly thereafter. That same year, we conceived naturally, but the pregnancy ended in miscarriage. Over the following months, I experienced ongoing infertility and pregnancy loss despite multiple medical evaluations that initially found no clear cause.

I was eventually diagnosed with stage IV endometriosis, requiring extensive laparoscopic excision surgery. During surgery, an incidental abnormality of my appendix was discovered and fully treated, with no spread, no further treatment needed, and full medical clearance confirmed by my physician.

After healing, we attempted to conceive again but experienced another miscarriage. Given my reproductive history, our physicians determined that IVF was medically necessary for us to have biological children.

Despite the emotional and financial burden, we proceeded with IVF and became pregnant with our son, Hunner Ace Washington. Due to complete placenta previa, he was delivered via emergency cesarean at 24 weeks and 5 days on November 3, 2022. Hunner fought bravely in the NICU but passed away on November 29, 2022, following emergency hernia surgery.

After healing, we pursued IVF again, which resulted in another miscarriage. After years of loss and perseverance, we were blessed to welcome our daughter, Krimsyn Rose Washington, on April 3, 2024. Her healthy arrival confirmed that, with proper medical support, pregnancy is safe and possible for me.

While we are deeply grateful to be parents, the cumulative cost of multiple IVF cycles, surgeries, and medical care has created significant financial strain, making another IVF cycle unattainable without assistance. IVF remains our only viable option for expanding our family.

We are currently in stable physical and emotional health and remain under the care of our medical team, who have medically cleared and support our plans to pursue another IVF cycle. That sibling would be the final piece of our family.

We are deeply thankful for your time, consideration, and commitment to helping families like ours.
