Campaign Story

Hello, I’m Rashi Kohli, an immigrant facing a unique challenge as a balanced translocation carrier. This condition significantly reduces my chances of naturally delivering a baby. My journey towards motherhood has led doctors to recommend IVF with PGD.

Being an immigrant has brought its share of financial challenges and limited support. Unfortunately, 2023 marked the year of heartbreak with two miscarriages. The struggle intensifies as I can’t carry full term, knowing that 50% of my eggs are either balanced translocation carriers or affected by them.

To proceed with IVF, a substantial sum of $22,000 is required, a burden not covered by insurance. As an educator, managing such an amount is crucial for me to fulfill the dream of becoming a mother.

Our immigration journey to the United States has already cost us thousands of dollars in legal fees. Now, at the age of 34, the desire to embrace motherhood grows stronger. Your donation could be the key to starting a family, bringing immeasurable joy and hope into my life. Your support means more than words can express as I navigate this intricate path towards motherhood.
