My name is Diana, and I am seeking help to overcome a heartbreaking situation. Two months ago, I lost my one-year-old son Amir to a rare genetic disease in the brain that he inherited from his father, who has cerebellar atrophy. The loss of my precious child has left a gaping hole in my heart, and I miss him every day.

During my recent visit to the doctor, I received devastating news that any child I conceive with my husband’s sperm has a very high risk of inheriting the same genetic disease that claimed the life of my beloved son, Amir. The doctor recommended that to safely conceive, I undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF) to specifically select healthy sperm from my husband that does not carry the disease. IVF is the only way to ensure that my future child does not have to endure the same tragic fate as my precious Amir.
