Campaign Story

My name is Aerial and I am married to my wonderful husband Henry. What started as a silly internet hook up in 2017 turned into something much more. When we met, Aerial was a single mom, with 3 kids and had a tubal ligation. Henry was a young public defense attorney just starting out with no kids of his own. Flash forward to 2021, Henry and I have lived together for years, he is a wonderful step father to my 3 children and has truly adopted them as his own. We decided that we wanted to try for a baby, that ment either IVF or tubal reversal. We took a chance went to Mexico and got the reversal. For years American doctors had said Aerial had endometriosis, pcos, Cushing disease and other things with out ever doing real testing. Going to Mexico debunked all that and we were given a 70% chance at conceiving. In Dec 2021 Aerial becomes pregnant only to loose the baby very early into pregnancy. No doctor offered any support or answers as to why. Over the next year, Aerial would go thru 6 rounds of clomid (which causes mood swings, damage to her vision, nightmares, weight gain, and other side effects) in attempt to get pregnant. Nothing. Then in Jan 2023, Aerial once again get pregnant. At 7 weeks, we learned that the baby had stopped growing(in similar circumstances to the miscarriage in 2021) but the doctor had missed it. Genetic testing was done after the miscarriage was complete and we learned that the baby had Trisomy 4. A very rare Genetic abnormality, which caused incompatibility with life. Aerial and Henry were devastated. Unwilling to give up, we are asking for a little help. We are determined to bring baby Surkamp into this world but need help getting the Genetic testing to be sure that we can safely have a baby.
