Campaign Story

Hey everybody – We are the Gorman Family! My name is Meaghan and this is my husband Paddy. That cutie in the middle? That is our Miracle – our daughter Meadhbh (pronounced “Maeve”). We are excited to announce that we are trying to expand our family so that Meadhbh will have a built in best friend.

For those of you that know us – you know our struggle. For those of you that don’t – let me fill you in quick! Paddy and I met June 1, 2018 and were married exactly one year later on June 1, 2019. We knew that it would be difficult for me to get pregnant, as I have PCOS. We struggled with fertility treatments – 9 IUIs and 3 IVFs, with loss along the way – since the end of 2019. We were out of embryos, and were about to start another egg retrieval round when we learned that I was miraculously pregnant with Meadhbh in January 2022. We focused on loving up Meadhbh and making sure she had everything she would ever need. Then we decided we wanted her to have a sibling.

That brings us to today. Thus far we have had several medicated cycles and IUIs, but we have to move onto IVF, which is unfortunately not covered under my insurance as a teacher. Time is of the essence, as my husband is 52 this year, and as he is a disabled military veteran, we want to make sure that we have everything squared away. I am also at risk as I am 35 and will be moving into geriatric pregnancy territory.

We are asking for assistance to offset some of our medical costs for our IVF procedures, egg retrieval and medications. Anything donated is greatly appreciated and we are eternally grateful for all of your help.
