Our story began later than most—two military careers, countless moves, and a love that survived distance, a pandemic wedding, and the chaos of life. When our son Lincoln came into the world without a struggle, we felt blessed beyond measure. He filled our home with so much love that we knew we wanted to give him a sibling. But this time, the path to growing our family hasn’t been so simple.

Month after month, negative tests chipped away at our hope. We tried everything—tracking, supplements, endless research—but nothing worked. When we received the diagnosis of unexplained secondary infertility, it felt like a cruel joke. There was no clear reason, no answer to fix. Just silence from my body and a growing ache in my heart. Meanwhile, life kept moving: balancing night shifts to save for treatments, advocating for our son’s autism therapies, and carrying the quiet guilt that others have struggled even longer than we have.

We refused to give up. We tried three rounds of IUI, driving hours to a military clinic that left us feeling more lost than supported. IVF is our next step, but the cost is staggering. After years of working to pay down debt and build stability, draining our savings or taking on loans would set us back in ways that scare us. We’ve prayed over this decision, knowing that financial strain can test even the strongest marriages.
