Campaign Story

Austin and I have been together for almost a decade, married for 4 years. For almost 3 years we’ve been trying to start our family, been through lots of obstacles, guidance from doctors and specialists on things I needed to do to better the chances. I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome in my early 20s, which made me automatically think. I wouldn’t be able to have a baby. So I made the rash decision of not having any. Then I met Austin, and as they say the rest is history. After a few years of dating we got engaged and got married. And by then my friends were having babies. At first I was still convinced about not having a baby. But then I was able to hold one of my friends baby for the first time, and as it wrapped its hand around my fingers and smiled in it’s sleep. I knew then, I truly did not want to give up parenthood. My husband was so excited when I asked if he wanted to have a baby. Nearly 3 years later, and still no baby in hand we decided to see a specialist. After several tests and procedures, we were diagnosed with infertility and my heart was absolutely shattered. I think I cried on and off for days. And so Plan B (IVF) came into place. We really hope that we would be able to raise the funds needed so that we can finally get to meet baby Griswold soon!
