Campaign Story

My name is Muhammad and I am writing this with a heavy heart, It isn’t easy to ask for help, nor to put the details of our life into public view. However, we have come to accept that vulnerability will always be scary. My wife and I, have been trying to start a family for 4 years now. After our initial conception in October 2019, my wife experienced severe pain which was initially thought to be normal for first trimester pregnancies. But after heading to the ER 3 weeks after conceiving, it was discovered that she had an ectopic pregnancy which resulted in her left tube being removed and also damage done to her bladder during the process. After 6 months we have tried again with no luck, experiencing 3 miscarriages and 2 more ectopic pregnancies. We then consulted a specialist, who confirmed that everything is fine with the tubes, no blockages and etc. Due to the cost of IVF – up to $16k for 1 transfer – we decided to keep trying naturally since the specialist insisted to since there was no known problems. Even with this plan, we still had another miscarriage in December of 2022 before finally conceiving first week of February 2023 only for it to end in another ectopic pregnancy which resulted in both fallopian tubes being removed. Now our only hope is through IVF but affording the procedure is outside of our reach.

I’m kindly asking everyone reading this to please donate what you can so my wife and I can get the help we need and start a family. I believe no couple deserves such a heartbreaking experience – especially at such young age. My only wish is to make my wife happy and finally relieve her stressful nights and days, I can’t see her unhappy everyday and for her to think she’s not good enough because “she can’t do what she’s supposed to do as a women” .
