Campaign Story

Alison and Marc’s journey began when we met in June 2019. I was coming out of a relationship that did not end well, and I was trying to get my life back together when I met Marc on a dating site. We ended up talking for a while and then decided to go on a date. Since that first date we started spending more and more time together and realized that we both want the same things in life.
Fast forward to March 13,2021 when we got married. Since that day we knew we wanted to start a family. My whole life I dreamed of the day when I would become a mom, from the time I was a little girl, babysitting, and changing diapers to my little cousins, to pretending that they were my own babies, and now with my nephew and niece, being a mom has always been my calling.

We both went to the doctor in 2022 and had all the testing done just for them to tell me everything is fine. After about a year and a half of trying on our own, we decided to go to a fertility specialist, at this time I’m 40-41 years old, and Marc is 48-49, we know we are on the older side, so we know it’s more difficult. In March of 2023 we decide to try IUI. After 2 rounds of IUI both unsuccessful, we decided to take a month or two off.

July 1st 2023 I found out I was pregnant for the first time ever. At 41 years old I have never been pregnant before until now (you can imagine the excitement I was feeling). We were both over the moon excited that this was finally happening for us. I had my first Dr appointment the last week in July, and we were able to see the heartbeat. We were crying tears of Joy, couldn’t believe that this was finally real. Fast forward to the begging of August I was starting to cramp, and spot, and then the spotting became more and more. I went to the Dr. again, and that’s when the most devastating thing I could ever imagine happened. I was having a miscarriage, and there was no more heartbeat. We were both so heartbroken over this, that we both ended up going through a stat of depression. At that point we decided to keep trying and if it didn’t happen naturally again then we would look into IVF after the holidays.
Now here we are at 42, and 51 years old starting our IVF journey to have that family that we have always dreamed of having. This is our last journey of hope. Please help us become the parents that we have always wanted to be.
