Campaign Story

We (Kelsey & Ricky) met 6 years ago on a serendipitous friend camping trip and have been together ever since! We have continued to build a wonderful life together in the Bay Area, and our beloved pup Maya joined the family during the 2022 holiday season. While she has filled our hearts in so many ways, the difficulty of infertility over the past year and a half has been present as well.

After a year of trying to start a family on our own, we began consulting fertility support. During this time, fertility issues were identified which led to Kelsey having a tubal removal surgery. Although the surgery was successful, the doctors let us know that the chances of conceiving naturally were very low. This month, we started IVF treatment to hopefully begin our future family.

We are feeling excited and hopeful looking ahead (and realistically, a little overwhelmed)! Given the financial impact of the IVF process, nearly $35K for the first full IVF cycle, we decided to start a fundraiser to help cover some of the treatment costs. We will keep the fundraiser open through this holiday season and into early next year, and we will share occasional updates through this website. We are so grateful for any contribution you consider making on behalf of us and our future baby 🙂

    Good News to Share!

    Hello Friends & Family!
We want to thank each and every one of you for your love and generous support throughout our fertility journey. We also have some exciting news to share! On the darkest day of the year (December 21st) there was a glimmer of light for us – our first embryo transfer. Since then, we've remained hopeful and all check ups have been positive. Kelsey is now 16 weeks pregnant and we are thrilled to share we are expecting our first baby in September 2024! We also got engaged in February, so this year is feeling full of love and new adventures already 🙂
Thank you again for being such an amazing community for us.
    Love,
    Kelsey + Ricky
