Campaign Story

My wife, Dr. Maria, is the kindest, strongest, and most intelligent person I know. We are both child clinical psychologists and have dedicated our lives helping children and their families. Maria is particularly special in that she devoted her whole life to treating chronically abused and neglected children in underserved areas across the nation. Our dream was always to start a family once graduate training finally ended. Alas, as soon as we felt that we achieved professional goals/felt settled, we got some heartbreaking news about Maria’s health. She is a private person so I want to respect her discretion, but for medical reasons, Maria is not able to carry a child and there is heightened urgency to fulfill our dream as parents. After all the ongoing medical bills associated with Mar’s condition in addition to the costs of embryo creation/freezing/genetic testing, student loans, we cannot afford surrogacy- unless we saved for several years, and we don’t have that time. My wife is so amazing with kids and would make an incredible mother. I am not sure where else to turn. Any help you could provide at this time would be the gift of lifetime and we would certainly pay it forward!
