Campaign Story

My name is Leslie and I am a single 37 year old woman. I have been unsuccessful in meeting the right guy and decided to begin the journey of becoming a mom by myself. I went through my first IVF last year and managed to produce one embryo to full blastocyst. Therefore, I did a fresh embryo transfer and got pregnant. However, at 12 weeks (after many tests, including bloodwork and CVS) it was determined that my baby had Turner’s Syndrome a would most likely not survive. I made a difficult decision to terminate. On the day of my D&C, I began to bleed heavily before the procedure. It was determined that my baby’s heart had actually stopped at 13 weeks and my body was beginning to miscarry. It was a very traumatic experience and one I hope to never go through. However, in order for me to try IVF again, I need to attempt to obtain more full blastocyst embryos and send them for PGT-A testing. If one comes back normal, that means a frozen embryo transfer and with all that and increase in cost. Again, being single and doing this on my own makes this even more difficult. Please take the time to consider my dream of becoming a mom and donate!
