Campaign Story

Hi, my name is Cady Pinkerton and my husband is Collin Pinkerton. I am 24 years old and my husband is 26 years old. We have a two-year-old son named Maverick. I got pregnant with Maverick by accident. He was such a blessing in disguise the pregnancy went great up until the end. I had a few complications and had to deliver him a month early, I was diagnosed with preeclampsia and hypertension so I had to be induced then deliver him via an emergency C-section. In recovery I had a postpartum hemorrhage and had to receive iron transfusions and had a long healing process after but grateful that everyone was healthy. Fast forward to a couple months postpartum we started trying again. We have always wanted a big family and we would love our kids to be close in age , growing up as best friends together, however God had other plans. We have struggled endlessly with secondary infertility. This year alone I have had five different losses. It started at the beginning of the year with a chemical pregnancy. Then shortly after that, I had a miscarriage and soon after that we were in the ER having to deal with an ectopic pregnancy of an unknown location. That put a toll on me and my husband both physically and mentally. We had to get a DNC scheduled and then after the DNC it continued to keep growing so therefore I had to get injections of methotrexate and rohgam. The toll that the medication put on my body was awful and the side effects I would not want anyone else to ever have to go through. We stopped trying for a few months after that to give my body time to heal and the medication to run its course. When we got the okay to try again, we suffered through three more miscarriages, but we still had hope. I tried to go see a fertility specialist in my area however they did not take my insurance and we could not afford the cost for treatment, so now we are trying to wait and we are going to save up money to try to do IVF with genetic testing so hopefully we can get our miracle baby and our son will have a little brother or sister soon in the future. The cost of IVF and fertility medications are very expensive so anything, even encouraging words or prayers would help us in our goal of adding on to our family! To sit and watch other people have children who are older than me and not struggle like I have is upsetting and I pray and hope every day that our time will come. If you donate anything to me and my family, it would be the best gift that anyone could ever give us, a chance.

    Second Ectopic Pregnancy Diagnosis

I just received news that what we thought was another miscarriage is unfortunately my second ectopic pregnancy in my tube. I got my three big injections of methotrexate and Rohgam and I am resting and healing at home! Could really use prayers right now during this horrible time…
