Hi. My name is Kim. My fiancé, Tyrel, and I have been trying to have a child for the past 2+ years. We met early 2020 and started trying end of 2020 for a child. Due to our ages we decided after 6 months of no success to see a fertility clinic in our area. We went through all of the testing and all came back normal, except when trying to do the dye test to test my fallopian tubes they couldn’t get the catheter in so they suggested a hysteroscopy to dilate me. They did find some polyps during the procedure but cleaned them out. They were able to do the dye test and one of my fallopian tubes was a little blocked/dilated, but the dye did eventually go through. We decided to do a timed intercourse cycle from there. The clinic was closed on weekends and I ovulated over the weekend so we were never able to get the proper care during that cycle. We decided from there to keep trying naturally with no luck. In the summer of 2022 I decided to have laparoscopic surgery to diagnose my fallopian tube further and remove if necessary. When I woke up I was told that the doctor had removed both of my fallopian tubes which was heartbreaking as now my shot at a natural pregnancy was totally taken away from me. The doctor said she found my other fallopian tube to be a little dilatated so decided to remove and told my fiancé “hey, now you can do IVF!” She made it seem like she did me a favor. We decided at that point we would not go back to that doctor. We found CNY Fertility and started our IVF journey with egg retrieval in December 2022. Was able to get 11 eggs, 5 mature, 3 fertilized, but only one made it to the blastocyst stage. We did the transfer in January 2023 and unfortunately it failed. 🙁 We would love to try again but financially cannot at this time. I do have a 9 year old son from a previous relationship. Tyrel has no biological children of his own and would make an amazing father. Any donation you are willing to give is truly appreciated to help us in our journey of having a child together.
