Campaign Story

Hi Friends,

My name is Ashli, I am a 32 year old woman that wants to share my journey to becoming a mother. My husband and I are trying to have our first baby together. I have one amazing stepson, who is the best, and would love to add another to our wonderful family. IVF was my only option to start a family. Even though we were given tragic news, we still thank Jesus Christ everyday that there is hope for us to have a baby. I am part of the 1 in 10 women with endometriosis stage four, and have had endo surgically removed from my large intestine. After my bowel reconstruction surgery, the nurses that were tasked to take care of me all kept saying, “I feel so sorry for you”, and “you will never have kids”. This was devastating to hear after having major surgery! During my surgery, my surgeon had an OBGYN onsite to properly diagnose my endo, and he said,ย ” I would have given her a ย hysterectomy, due to how bad the endo had spread”. WHO SAYS THAT! Not suggest a laparoscopy or treatment, but removal of all my reproductive organs. God had other plans though! ย I had my laparoscopy done, but it wasn’t without issues. My fallopian tubes are scarred which dropped my chances to conceive naturally below 5%.

After consulting with a fertility specialist, my husband and I decided to proceed with IVF. Through IVF we had 7 embabies to transfer, but sadly we are now down to 5. My first transfer ended in a miscarriage, that completely devasted my family. I have never felt that kind of pain before. With the support of my amazing husband and parents we decided to try again. January 28, 2022, we had our second transfer, everything was perfect. Sadly that transfer ended in an implantation failure.

Even though this experiences has been emotionally, physically and financially draining I have hope that Jesus Christ will bless us. ย Your help would be appreciated, we thank you.
