Campaign Story

Hello everyone,

We’re Tako and Cory, and we’re sharing a piece of our story with you today something deeply personal and filled with both sorrow and hope.

In October 2022, we met our beautiful son, Dean. For a few special hours, we held him close, held his tiny fingers, hoped the peace in his little face would last. But due to severe preeclampsia, we had to say goodbye on the very same day we said hello. Leaving the hospital with empty arms is a pain we still carry. Dean made us parents, and though he isn’t here with us, he lives on in everything we do.

His memory gives us the strength to try again. After months of healing and soul-searching, we’ve decided to pursue IVF. It’s a path filled with hope, but also with emotional and financial hurdles. The cost of IVF is significant, often reaching $20,000 or more just for medications and that doesn’t include monitoring, or unforeseen expenses.

By donating to our fundraiser, you’re helping us take one of the most important steps of our lives. Your support will go directly toward IVF treatment, giving us a real chance to bring home a healthy baby, a little brother or sister who will grow up knowing they are deeply loved, and that they have an angel watching over them.
